The Redondo Beach Boaters Association, Inc. is a California non-profit corporation representing boaters and boater friends in the King Harbor, Redondo Beach, California area. 

PURPOSE OF RBBA:
 
    The purpose of RBBA shall be to serve the boating community of King Harbor by:
 
bullet
Providing a cohesive voice for communications between the boating public and the city and other public and private institutions.

 

bullet
Maintaining awareness and cognizance of issues and events as being important to boaters by:
bullet

 Supporting positions which further the majority interests of boaters and boater friends 

bullet

Opposing actions which are detrimental to boaters interests

 

bullet

Providing leadership in actions which contribute to improvement, maintenance, beauty and safety of King Harbor, facilities and the ocean.

The RBBA has several ongoing boating and harbor related projects. Among them are:

bulletHeart of the City: Participation in the Redondo Beach Heart of the City planning process and support of the Boaters Advisory Panel 
bulletHarbor Patrol: Working with the Harbor Patrol for the betterment of King Harbor and our members.
bulletHarbor Clean up: Implementation of methods to keep King Harbor  waters clean
bulletCERT Training: Boater training in emergency rescue techniques
bulletSea Lions In Harbor: Remaining aware of the issues concerning the ever increasing presence of sea lions in the harbor area
bulletBlack Sea Bass: Concern about the protection of our California Black Sea Bass
bulletFish and Game: Monitoring and participation in new California DFG marine life management rules
bulletTechnical Boating Tips: Articles by our own Captain Bob concerning various boating maintenance topics as well as links to several other internet resources on boating maintenance.
bulletSafety Ideas: Developing ideas to make King Harbor safer and communicating these ideas to the proper authorities.
